Skye Scrambling

The Black Cuillin of Skye is a scramblers paradise. Stunning views, quality rock and the UK’s most famous ridge traverse.

Over five days you will be guided over some of the most iconic mountain scrambling terrain in the UK – the Skye Munros.  Under our expert and careful guidance, your scrambling skills and confidence will develop as you progress.  The legendary Munros of Sgurr Dearg and its Innaccessible Pinnacle and Basteir Tooth are very achievable. Weather depending, we aim to complete all of the Cuillin Munros in the week.

Who is it for ?

This five day Skye Scrambling adventure is for very confident hillwalkers or accomplished scramblers with plenty of previous experience at grade 1 and a good head for heights.

Skye Scrambling – Course Format

The exact course itinerary is flexible but, we guarantee you won’t be spending much time with your hands in your pockets.

We meet on the first day in Portree and after a quick kit check / issue we head out.

With 11 Munros and dozens of ways up them, we select the mountains and routes according to the weather conditions and energy and skill levels. We can’t guarantee the weather when you stand on top of the Inn Pinn –  it is called the “Misty Isle” for a reason, but we can guarantee it will be memorable!

Over the five days we have a good chance of summiting all of the Cuillin Munros with a little bit of wiggle room for poor weather.

For those who want to attempt the full traverse non stop, this is offered as a bespoke booking.  Please contact the office to discuss your requirements.
