Expedition / Advanced First Aid
Expedition and advanced first aid is a highly practical addition to our standard outdoor first aid course. Candidates must have attended a standard 16 hour outdoor first aid course and be proficient in the skills taught, prior to attending this course.
Expedition and advanced first aid looks at more advanced first aid procedures where either extra equipment is available or, you are long way from any rescue service or definitive care. It specifically covers the extra challenges brought about by high altitude. A great enhancement to your knowledge if you are planning on leading an expedition or just want training in providing advanced care and coping with more challenging environments.
Who is it for ?
Outdoor practitioners who want a higher level of knowledge and confidence to deal with common first aid scenarios both in the UK and overseas. It is especially suited to those who are working on or leading expeditions in remote locations.
